Flash Winner became the fourth of Flashstorm's five 2014 winners to repeat, gaining a hard-fought victory in a one-mile race at Gulfstream Park West yesterday. The 3-year-old filly went head-and-head for the lead for a quarter of a mile under Fernando Jara, dropped back to third coming to the turn, then dug in and out-gamed the leaders to the wire to prevail by a neck. Flash Winner is 2-2-1 in seven tries and boosted her sire's percentage of wins to starts to an impressive 29%, with 12 trips to the winner's circle in 41 starts.
