Caribean Spirit became the 17th winner for Flashstorm on Oct.25, going wire-to-wire in a six-furlong race at Gulfstream Park West. The 2-year-old colt bred by Northwest Stud helped his sire approach the $600,000 mark in progeny earnings this year - Flashstorm's runners have earned $573,737. With just 24 runners in 2015, the son of Storm Cat has an excellent 72% ratio of winners to starters. On Oct. 8, Flash Jak won for the third time this year, the first two coming at Gulfstream Park and the last at Gulfstream West. The 3-year-old filly was also bred by Northwest Stud.
