Gone Astray registered his eighth winner and moved closer to the $600,000 mark in progeny earnings yesterday when Think He's Gone scored an impressive victory at Gulfstream West. With Luis Castillo aboard, the colt owned by Ocala's Carol Hershe sat second early in the one-mile race, moved up to the leader on the turn, edged away at the top of the stretch and drew off to win by three lengths. Four races later, Gone Local made his career debut, and despite being saddled by the No. 12 post, finished a strong second after making a sweeping outside move on the turn and assuming the lead turning for home. Look for him to make amends in his next start.
