The 4-year-old gelding sat close to the early pace in the mile and 70-yard race, moved three wide on the turn and took the lead into the stretch, then held the field safe under Leandro Goncalves to win by one-half length. He became Flashstorm's 17th winner of the year from 29 starters and increased his sire's winner-to-starters percentage to 58.6. Lifetime, Flashstorm has 35 winners from 51 starters for a percentage of 68.6.
