Rick's Boy proved to be a ton the best racing six furlongs at Penn National on Sunday. The 4-year-old gelding by Flashstorm, bred by Northwest Stud, sat in fourth place early and when Francisco Garcia asked him to go, Rick's Boy barreled into the lead while five wide on the turn, and opened up by five lengths in the stretch. He jogged to the wire 8 1/2 lengths in front, clocked in a quick 1:09.61 as he raised his record to 2-6-1 in 18 starts with earnings of $71,180. The gelding has been no worse than fourth in 15 of his 18 races.
