The gelding became his sire's 22nd winner of 2016, flying out of the gate and going wire-to-wire at odds of 4/5. Bad Boy Flats held off three challengers in the stretch and won by a nose, collecting $9,138 for the victory as Gone Astray closed in on two immediate goals - $800,000 in progeny earnings for the year and second place on Florida's second-crop sire list.
