Northwest Stud has welcomed in the New Year with two foals each by millionaire Duke of Mischief and near-millionaire Turbo Compressor, two of the farm's Gr. I-winning stallions who took up residence in 2014. The unraced Grand Reward mare Merletto presented Duke of Mischief with his first foal, a chestnut colt bred by Northwest and born on New Year's Day. His second foal, born at the farm on Jan. 8, is another chestnut colt, out of the winning Three Wonders mare, Akonite. Turbo Compressor's first foals both arrived on Jan. 9. Born at Northwest was a bay colt out of the winning Tiznow mare Miss Tiznow, and at P&G Stables in Southwest Ranches a dark bay or brown colt out of the unraced Distorted Humor mare Fayewin Gardens. P&G Stables is also the breeder.
