Apparently, all it took for Flashstorm's runners to get hot was a little warmer weather. When he was at the racetrack, the son of Storm Cat came into his own as a 3-year-old, and his progeny are doing the same. The 3-year-old filly Flash Song broke her maiden at Gulfstream Park on May 16, then came back to score again in Hallandale Beach on July 18. Flash Heart broke his maiden at Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races on June 20, and just five days later, Flash Glory picked up his first victory at Suffolk Downs. In his next start on July 9, the gelding made it two straight with an allowance victory in Boston. Flash Paws topped it off yesterday by breaking his maiden at Gulfstream, scoring by two lengths. That gave Flashstorm, who has just seven runners in his first crop thus far, four winners in the past 35 days.
