GONE ASTRAY COLT SELLS FOR $475,000 IN TIMONIUM

A colt and a filly by Northwest Stud stallions sold well at the opening session of the two-day Fasig-Tipton Midlantic Sale of 2-year-olds in training in Timonium. HIP No. 66, a dark bay or brown colt already named True Belief, went for $475,000 to R. A. Hill Stables and Reeves Thoroughbreds. The son of GONE ASTRAY, consigned by Danzel Brendemuehl, agent, is out of the stakes-placed Bertrando mare Double Major, who is a half-sister to champion Shared Belief. HIP No. 107, a chestnut filly by UNITED STATES, sold for $75,000 to PTK LLC. The filly, consigned by Grassroots Training & Sales, is the first foal out of the unraced Medallist mare Glamorella.
