After Natalie La Rose broke her maiden by 7 3/4 lengths in her career debut at Tampa Bay Downs on Jan. 17, she was purchased privately from breeders Kathleen Amayo and Alexandro and Raffaele Centofanti by Frank C. Calabrese, perenially one of the country's leading owners. The 3-year-old Gone Astray filly shipped to Gulfstream Park and won for her new owner on Feb. 18, this time by 5 1/4 lengths. Natalie La Rose's third start came at Gulfstream yesterday, and, with Elvis Trujillo aboard, she made it 3-for-3 with a sharp two-length victory going six furlongs, at odds of 2/5. And Calabrese lost her in a claim to trainer Phil Serpe and Logo Racing Stables. Natalie Rose has won her three starts by a combined total of 15 lengths while earning $40,240.
