Three Rules added his name to the elate list of 2-year-olds who have swept the three divisions of the Florida Sire Stakes with another dominating performance at Gulfstream Park yesterday. Shade Tree Thoroughbreds' unbeaten son of Gone Astray went wire-to-wire in the $500,000, 1 1/16th-mile In Reality, breaking like a shot with Cornelio Velasquez and increasing his lead at every pole. At the wire, the colt out of the Full Mandate mare Joy Rules was 10 lengths in front and widening, stretching his winning streak to five, including four stakes, won by a combined margin of 31 lengths. The $300,000 winner's check increased Three Rules' earnings to $680,640 and he's the leading juvenile money-earner in North America - it should be Breeders' Cup ahead . . . Earlier on the Gulfstream program, Gone Astray picked up another stakes-placed runner when Minute Madness finished third in the $150,000 Florida Sire Foolish Pleasure. The 3-year-old gelding collected a check of $15,000 and raised his total to $78,680 . . . Gone Astray's progeny earnings for the year have soared to $1,972,986.
